SIENA

  | Main | Rome | The Vatican | Florence | Pisa | Cinque Terra | Milan | Verona | Venice |

Siena is the best-preserved medieval town with almost intact castle walls surrounding it. Siena looks tranquil but is bustling at night along the few shopping streets. there were no streets with pavement, no modern houses. walking in Siena made me feel like i am acting in am Ali Baba movie. It's hard to describe the town but you have got to go there and stay 1 night to know what i mean. Not only that, Siena has probably the most beautiful church with a sleek black and white stripe design.

The hostel was closed so we had to walk around for quite a bit before finding a cheap hotel to stay in. The shower room floods and Luke was complaining but besides, everything was great. I wanted to stay another day, but Luke said it was kinda expensive staying in this half-star hotel with improper shower so we left the next morning after stuffing ourselves with nice and hot pizzas.

Trying to capture the town into photos but i am just not artistic enough. Or maybe it's the lousy camera. :>

The view of the bell tower from my window.

Luke outside the church.

Inside the black and white stripe church. It looks much nicer in real life
but no flash was allowed inside so the photo doesn't turn out that good.

And me outside it again. you can see the striped bell tower behind me.
Again it looks nicer in real life.
